Do you play an acoustic guitar? What are you waiting for? Emergenza Acoustic Hero is the Festival for you! If you live in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Boston, Baltimore, Austin, Dallas, Hartford, Milwaukee, Nashville or Atlanta and you are an acoustic guitar player apply on line to reserve your place on the Acoustic Hero Stage. You will be contacted soon for an audition. Where? The Emergenza Acoustic Hero starts in 2007 in these cities in USA: Atlanta, GA Austin, TX Baltimore, MD Boston, MA Chicago, IL Dallas, TX Hartford, CT Milwaukee, WI Nashville, TN New York, NY Philadelphia, PA Washington, DC One concert will be held in each one of these cities. 8 musicians will perform live competing to be the best acoustic hero in town. There is no enrollment fee. At the end of each concert, the best acoustic guitar player, chosen by the public, will win an acoustic Takamine or Ovation guitar. The best guitarist chosen by a jury goes on to the next level. Click here for more details on the Acoustic Tour. The American Final will take place in New York in July 2007. The winner of Emergenza Acoustic Hero 2007 will go to Germany to play at the Taubertal Open Air Festival How does it work If you want to take part of the Emergenza Acoustic Hero you… 1. have to live in one the cities where the Festival takes place 2. have to be a solo acoustic guitar player 3. have to send your application form. You will be contacted soon for an audition. The best guitar players will be selected to play live. During each acoustic concert, 4-8 artists perform for 20-25 minutes. Drumsets or keyboards are not allowed. Just solo artist are accepted. Musicians will find on stage two acoustic guitars (Takamine and/or Ovation) they play with. Guitar players can use their own guitar if they have an Ovation or a Takamine guitar. Votation At the end of each performance the public votes by raising the hand. The most voted guitar player wins an Ovation or Takamine guitar. A jury choses the winner who will move on to the next level. The National Final The National Final takes place in New York, July 2007.The winner of the National Final chosen by the jury wins a trip to Germany at the Taubertal Open Air Festival, August 2007. An acoustic guitar (Ovation or Takamine) is awarded to the most voted guitar player by the public.
