Since young, Alexander Wolfe had been experimenting with music, bands and writing songs and was becoming more and more serious. He was in love with music & soaked up as much as possible. Inspired by everyone from Captain Beefheart to Joni Mitchell, Velvet Underground to Curtis Mayfield, he became convinced that he had found something he could offer, and be remembered for.
He managed to beg, steal & borrow some studio time for his debut album, with everyone involved doing the work for free. The album was mixed by Tony Platt, who produced the first 2 Bob Marley Records, 'Catch A Fire' & 'Burnin' as well as 'ACDC - Back In Black' & 'Toots & The Maytals - Funky Kingston',
The songs are an eclectic mix of different styles and moods. It's clear that this is something special, with more in common with Nick Drake, Tom Waits and Neil Young than any of today's current crop of singer songwriters.
Refusing to play by the rules at every step, the first single will be released as an limited edition 7" with 100 art students providing 100 one-off bespoke prints for the cover art.
