As a solo artist, Helder began life with her debut EP 'The Contact' in 2004, which was met with critical acclaim and major airplay. Hailed as 'Combining the intensity of Jeff Buckley with the passion of Kate Bush' (Classic Rock magazine, 2005) her tracks were soon played on platforms as varied as BBC Radio 2 and Total Rock Radio, with 'Whispering' Bob Harris declaring: "This is very dramatic music"...
Previously a member of several bands, her musical apprenticeship was played out in a number of styles: from rock to folk, to jazz & back. She toured internationally, on stages ranging from pub-gig-podiums to national arenas. She also recorded many albums along the way, in her role as multi-instrumentalist (playing keys, guitars, flute, percussion, and various other random instruments).
