Acoustic Showcase 2008  Are you an acoustic guitar player? Do you play in an acoustic band? The Emergenza Acoustic Showcase is your festival Here we are at the firth edition of the Emergenza Acoustic Showcase produced in cooperation with Takamine, Ovation ed Ernie Ball. Acoustic musicians from all around Europe have the chance to play live acoustic in the best European clubs of 20 cities. Concerts will take place in Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Sweden, Italy e UK. At the end of each concert, the best acoustic guitar player, chosen by the public, will win an acoustic Takamine or Ovation guitar. The best band (or solo artist) chosen by a jury will go on to the next level. The European Final will take place in Rome in February. A jury will decide the winning band or solo artist who will perform in New York and he will win a wonderful Ovation Deluxe LX special edition for Emergenza Acoustic. The first edition of the Emergenza Acoustic Festival, was held in Germany, Italy and France in 2002. The event became recognised as one of the biggest acoustic events to be held in Europe, by Acoustic Magazines and Ovation and Takamine guitars. The winner of 2002, Luca Casagrande, and 2003 Emma Owens, played at Acoustic Café Night in Los Angeles (organized by Acoustic Magazine) with some of the most famous American acoustic musicians. In March 2004 Luca Casagrande open the concert of Joe Satriani in Frankfurt during the Musik Messe. The winner of 2004 edition are the Spanish band Hermanas Sister, followed by Jeremy Barès from France in the 2005 edition. Last Year, Samantha Seth from UK won the Cup. |
